One thing I started doing about 4 years ago is making a Christmas Card Tree out of our past Christmas Cards! It has turned into a Family Christmas Tradition and one of our most favorite things to put up at Christmas time.
I just find small tree branches, arrange them in a tall bucket and clothespin all of our past Cards on the various branches.
It's so fun to look back at the Cards we have sent through the years... This one is just each of the kids holding a large white letter. I then combined them in Photoshop to make our card.
This one always makes us laugh. We were trying to do a group shot. You know how hard it is to get a toddler to want to smile for a photo. We could not get Aves to be happy. Infact if you look close, the little dark haired girl at the top left of the photo has her head down, lower lip out and is Pouting! The kids were laughing at her pouting, and that became the cover shot to our Christmas Card that year...
Don't worry, we did actually get a picture of her smiling for the inside of the Card. We had to take the shot on a 4-wheeler to get her to be happy! I had to do a lot of editing, but we got it!
another one with one of my favorite pics...
I hope I have inspired you to start your own Card tree that you can add to every year!
I'll share with you some of my favorite cards and how I made them. I'll also share with you some shots of our Card this year when I get them finished, including the behind the scenes photo shoot! Oh man! Five kids and pressed for time!!! I'm amazed we got some shots!!!
Have a wonderful day!
With much Love & Gratitude,
