How to Make Striped A Anchor Board

For those of you that were curious, here is a tutorial on how to make a Striped Anchor board.

Pretty Simple Supplies…

 1x8 in. Pine board
.91 or 1 in.  Edge lock Blue Painter's Tape
White paint
Vinyl color of your choice
Paint brush or sponge brush

Cut your pine board 10 inches in length.

Tape off your board.  I used 4 strips of tape.  I spaced them roughly 1 1/4 in.  apart.  Make sure to come in from the edges 1 1/4 in.  Press down firmly on the edges of the tape so there a good lock and the paint won't run into the taped off areas.

Apply your white paint.  You can apply a couple of coats to make it more thick.

Once your paint is dry, remove the tape.

I cut an Anchor out of Vinyl  on my Silhouette Cameo.  It measures Roughly 6 in. tall by 5 in. wide.  Apply.

Project complete.   To make the board stand up, Drill a hole in the back and cut a dowel to fit the hole you drilled or you could hang it on the wall.

These turned out so fun!

  1. The striped anchor board was a staple at the turn of the 20th century and has recently received a resurgence in popularity. It's basically a wooden piece of furniture that you place on the floor. You can check https://www.essaymama.com/write-my-essay/ and know new very interesting skills of education. It usually has a small glass bowl on a wooden base, and it tends to be used as an accent piece that helps kick off a formal dining room.
