Today I wanted to share with you how you can shoot with natural light and make your subject's eyes Pop!
I took these photos of Ava a few years ago. I didn't use a studio, lighting or a flash. My studio was our house. So how did I get her eyes to be so blue in these shots??
Here's my secret. I opened the Front Door! I moved her around the front room to different places to where I thought her eyes looked the best. I really couldn't find a great spot, then I opened the front door and the natural light hit her eyes and made them pop!
I shot these with my 50mm lens. Aperture set 1.8, with +1 Auto White balance, ISO 250 and shutter speeds varied. This shot was around 1/320. The first two photos were at 1/1250 shutter.
Really that is all I did, I just loved how these shots turned out and wanted to show you how natural light can really bring out the best in your subjects.

If you are wondering about the darling hat she is wearing, I purchased it from a company called La Folie Knits. As of today, I couldn't find a website for them but I did locate a Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/lafolieknits
Have a fabulous day!
With Much Love & Gratitude,
