Old Glory, A Road & A Little One...

So I have to admit, this is one of my Most Favorite Pictures ever, so I thought I would share...

4th of July is right around the corner.  One thing I LOVE to do is take pictures of my kids with the American Flag.  I love to put these pictures all over my house when I'm decorating for the 4th.  So I thought this would be a good time for a favorite photo find.

the last time we were there, I grabbed Ava, put her in her red, white and blue, grabbed the flag and did a little photo shoot.  I'm so glad I did, because these pictures are ones that I just cherish.  I looked for the best spot to find some good natural light on the road, plopped Aves down, gave her the flag and here's some more of what I captured during our shoot.

I love this one where she is just trying to figure out this fun, colorful object I gave her...

Well I hope I've inspired you to get some fun flag pictures taken.  I have some more flag shots that I've taken in the past that are also my favs and I'll share those with you too. I'll leave you with this last one that I think is just sweet and simple.

Have a wonderful day.  To keep you updated, the Chicken run is 99.9% done! Yippie!  I have just a couple things I want to do to it and then I'll share with you how it turned out.

With Much Love & Gratitude,

  3. Oh, I need a tissue- how I miss Bainbridge Island! You need to read The Penderwicks and have your girls read it. My Amelia loves it, and it so reminds me of our idyllic summers on the island. Thanks for sharing!
